The Eastern Gheg Dialect or the Dialect of Preševo (Albanian: Dialekti i Preshevës) is an Albanian dialect spoken in Preševo Valley, Serbia, mostly in Preševo and Bujanovac. The Eastern Gheg dialect is similar to the Gheg Albanian language spoken in Kosovo[a] and North Albania. The differences are at the letters like "E", "O", etc. The Eastern Gheg Albanian, or the Presevan dialect is spoken by over 50,000 native speakers. This dialect in difference with the Albanian literary dialect or the Tosk Albanian are the pronunciation of the words. The Eastern Gheg Dialect contains words from the Serbian language, Turkish language, Macedonian language, etc. The dialect is also split in a few other minority dialects, where the letter "Y" is spoken as "I", like "Ylberi" (Rainbow) to "Ilberi", "Dy" (Two) to "Di".
